Nonogram Zen
Nonogram Zen runs offline by default. We don't sell or share your personal data. We use Google Play Services and AdMob for app delivery, optional ads, and crash diagnostics. You can play without an account.
Scope
This policy applies to Nonogram Zen, a logic puzzle game published on the Google Play Store by MIB-Games ("we", "us") through the domain makeit.bot.
It describes the information the app collects, why, with whom it is shared, and the rights you have under the GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and Brazilian LGPD.
What we collect
Nonogram Zen is designed to work offline. The app stores the following locally on your device and does not transmit it to us:
- Puzzle progress, completed levels, and your settings
- Local statistics (puzzles solved, daily streak)
- Theme and language preferences
The following limited information is processed by third parties on our behalf when relevant features are active:
| Data | When collected | Processor |
|---|---|---|
| Crash & ANR reports Device model, OS version, stack trace | Always (opt-out available) | Firebase Crashlytics (Google) |
| Aggregated analytics Session length, level completion events, country | Always (opt-out available) | Firebase Analytics (Google) |
| Advertising identifier Android Ad ID (resettable) | Only when ads are shown | Google AdMob |
| Purchase records Receipt, SKU, status | Only on in-app purchase | Google Play Billing |
We do not ask for your name, email, phone number, contacts, photos, microphone, or precise location.
How we use it
- Diagnose crashes and improve stability across Android devices.
- Understand puzzle balance (aggregate event counts only — no individual tracking).
- Show ads and process purchases ("Remove Ads", hint packs).
- Comply with our obligations to the Google Play Store and our payment processor.
We do not use your data to build advertising profiles, train AI models, or sell to data brokers.
Third parties
The app integrates the following Google services. Each has its own privacy policy that applies in addition to this one:
- Google Play Services — required by Android. policies.google.com/privacy
- Firebase Analytics & Crashlytics — usage and stability. firebase.google.com/support/privacy
- Google AdMob — banner, interstitial, and rewarded ads. policies.google.com/technologies/ads
- Google Play Billing — in-app purchases. play.google.com/about/play-terms
We do not share data with any party not listed above.
Ads & purchases
Nonogram Zen is free to play. The free version may show:
- Banner ads outside the active play area
- Interstitial ads between levels (capped, never during play)
- Rewarded ads you choose to watch in exchange for in-game hints
Ads are served by Google AdMob and may be personalised based on your Android Advertising ID. In the EEA, UK, Switzerland, and Brazil you will see a consent dialog on first launch where you can choose personalised, non-personalised, or no ads. Your choice is respected for the lifetime of the install. You can reset your Advertising ID at any time in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads.
The in-app purchase "Remove Ads" permanently disables all advertising and the AdMob SDK. The purchase receipt is processed by Google Play Billing only.
Children
Nonogram Zen is rated PEGI 3 / ESRB Everyone but is designed for an adult audience (30-55). It is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them. The app does not appear in the Google Play "Designed for Families" programme.
If you believe a child has used the app, you can delete all local data by uninstalling. There is nothing else for us to delete.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the data processed about you
- Rectify inaccurate data
- Erase data we hold ("right to be forgotten")
- Object to processing or withdraw consent
- Port your data to another service
You can also opt out of analytics and crash reporting at any time inside the app: Settings → Privacy → Share diagnostics.
To exercise a right that requires our action, email privacy@makeit.bot. We respond within 30 days.
Retention
Local data lives on your device until you uninstall the app or clear its storage. Aggregated analytics events are retained by Firebase for up to 14 months. Crash reports are retained for 90 days. Purchase receipts are kept by Google Play for the duration required by tax and consumer-protection law in your jurisdiction.
Changes
If we change this policy materially, we will publish a new version at makeit.bot/privacy/nonogram-zen and bump the version number above. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the new terms.
